Gerry has worked as the Executive Officer at Sydney BEP since 2006. Gerry came to Sydney from Melbourne where he worked in the not-for-profit sector managing teacher professional associations, notably as Executive Officer and Educational Consultant with the School Library Association of Victoria for nearly ten years. Prior to this Gerry was a Secondary School Teacher for over thirteen years.

Evelyn Palmer
Workplacement Coordinator

Evelyn has been the Structured Workplace Coordinator in this office for over 8 years. From placing 600 students annually into quality workplacement sites for their vocational courses, Sydney BEP now places well over 2000 students annually. The job involves dealing with students, teachers and businesses. Prior to working in workplacements, Evelyn was a high school teacher of Economics, Geography and Career Education. Within the TAFE system Evelyn worked with the Disabilities Unit, supporting special needs students to complete their courses and organising their workplacements. Evelyn has also taught for a number of years in England.

Ingrid has been involved in workplacements with Sydney BEP for the last three years, sourcing new employers in all vocations and providing exciting and interesting opportunities for students. Prior to being involved with Structured Workplace Learning, Ingrid has worked in schools and offices within the Department of Education and Training in the Sydney Region. Ingrid also brings with her many years of experience gained in the private sector working in human resources and business administration.

Before taking on this role she worked in the education system, mainly working in the VET area of education since 1996. Carmel has also worked in schools and is currently working one day per week at Bondi Public School as school administrative officer working with the Learning Assistance Principal.
