Structured Workplace Learning
The Structured Workplace Learning Programme (SWL) aims to provide senior secondary students with work placement opportunities in a real work environment. It is a mandatory part of the Higher School Certificate (HSC) Vocational Education & Training (VET) in schools programme. The program is funded by the NSW State Government.
Our role is to organise quality workplacements with relevant employers for students studying vocational HSC subjects in Automotive, Business Services, Construction, Electrotechnology, Entertainment, Hospitality, Information Technology, Media, Retail, Sports Coaching, Tourism/ Events. Sydney Business Education Partnerships (BEP) works closely with schools and businesses to ensure that students have access to high quality workplacements. Businesses provide students with ‘on the job’ training, mentoring and an opportunity to develop their technical and general employability skills.
